Meet Jill

Jill Fox is a community-minded leader who believes good government starts with listening, bringing people together, and turning good ideas into positive action. Her career in education, nonprofit leadership, operations, and human resources, and her commitment to lifelong learning, have given her a broad perspective on the challenges facing communities and the practical experience to help address them.

Jill has called River Oaks home for the past five years and became involved in the community in January 2024 when her design was selected as the winner of the city's 75th anniversary logo competition. She joined the River Oaks Parks Board in March 2024 and continues to serve today. She also serves as Vice President of the Parks Foundation of River Oaks, where she works to support and strengthen the city's parks and community spaces.

Through her community involvement, Jill has seen firsthand what makes River Oaks special and where there are opportunities to do more. As mayor, she wants to bring a fresh perspective to City Hall, strengthen communication and transparency, encourage thoughtful economic development, support the continued success of Castleberry ISD, invest in parks and quality-of-life initiatives, and create more opportunities for residents to have a voice in the future of their city.

Jill's career has spanned the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. She served as a third-grade teacher with Fort Worth ISD from 2018–2021 and now works as Operations Manager for a local nonprofit in the early childhood learning space. She grew up in Abilene, Texas, and moved to Fort Worth to attend TCU, where she earned a B.A. in Religion. She went on to earn a Master of Theological Studies from Brite Divinity School and recently completed her Executive MBA from UTA in May 2026.

Jill lives in River Oaks with her husband and their two dogs. Outside of work and community service, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, hosting game nights, and attending plays and musicals. She is an avid reader and proud member of a vibrant book club, and she and her husband enjoy discovering new restaurants and cheering on the Horned Frogs with their TCU football season tickets.

Jill believes the best communities are built when residents are invited to the table, listened to, and given meaningful opportunities to help shape the future of their city, and she is ready to bring that approach to River Oaks.
